"Lights at the new McNair Field were turned on for the first time recently, and they lit up all of
downtown. The whole town is lit up about the Forest City Owls, the Coastal Plain League summer
collegiate baseball team that starts the first season at its new home here May 29.
The first pitch won't come too soon for some of the more than 700 season-ticket holders. Before the field
was finished, dozens of people wandered to the stadium on some evenings and warmed their seats in
anticipation. People just can't wait for the games to start,downtown development director Danielle
Withrow says. "

These small boats are just coming on the world market from China, and “Lure of the Dragons” will be the first
exclusive small boat racing event in the United States! Be a part of this landmark event which is being

Small boat teams are composed of 10 paddlers, someone to drum or scream (which ever they do best) out a
